Knitting patterns for men

Knitting and crochet patterns for men...by this, we mean patterns to create a garment or accessory that has been designed to be worn by a man (or boy).

The range of men's patterns is on the rise as knitting, crochet and home-made crafts in general gain in popularity, particularly amongst male millennials. We've got a pattern for you here whether you want to knit a fashionable sweater for your brother, a cosy scarf for your father, a funky hat for your nephew, a trendy cardigan for your son, a pair of toasty socks for your granddad or even some fabulous fingerless mitts in self-striping yarn for your flamboyant step-uncle.

The patterns and the accompanying yarns span many favourite brands including Rowan, DROPS and Rico Design.

Knitting: It's not just for women!

Did you know that knitting was initially a male-only occupation? In fact, when the very first knitting union was established in Paris in 1527, no women were allowed!

There are a lot of famous male knitting and crochet pattern designers out there. You'll of course know of the great household names Martin Storey, Kaffe FassettBrandon Mably and Arne & Carlos. But there are some new kids on the block! Check out Stephen WestNathan Taylor (The Sockmatician) and Rohn Strong for some seriously modern, quirky and sometimes outrageous knitting and crochet.
