How to Knit a mini Christmas jumper

Level: Beginner

Looking to stash bust with some cute Christmas decoration patterns? We felt inspired to create the easiest mini Christmas jumper knitting pattern that even a beginner could handle.

We can't believe it's December already, or that we still have so much stash to use up before the year is out. So we came up with an easy, free mini Christmas jumper knitting pattern that even a beginner could tackle with confidence! For this example, we used DK weight yarn in oddment quantities and 4mm (US 6) singled pointed needles. It's knit flat and seamed, but the seaming is quick on this mini festive decoration!

Take a look at our time lapse of this project in the video above.

You can use any weight of yarn for this project, so long as you use a corresponding needle size. Lighter weights will turn out slightly smaller, and heavier weights slightly larger. Our DK version measures about 8cm tall, and fits perfectly on a bunting or as an ornament on your tree. (Idea: knit Harry Potter style letter jumpers for everyone in your family! Create your own colourwork chart using our nifty tutorial, click here.)
