Dee Hardwicke, famed designer and colour palette curator, answers some of our most burning questions about her new designs, how she feels about colour, and her top advice for knitters.
Looking for some gorgeous new knits and colours for autumn? We have to recommend the new collections from Dee Hardwicke, featuring three amazing Rowan Yarns! We got the opportunity to catch up with her this week, and asked her everything we wanted to know. You can follow Dee on Instagram here.
One of the yarns Dee mentioned in the video is Rowan Cotton Cashmere, and specifically that beautiful grey that she worked with the Rowan team to create, tinged with grey and perfectly autumnal. The new Cotton Cashmere seasonal collection includes beautiful colourwork garments that encapsulate Dee's style and landscape-based approach to design.
The other yarn she mentioned was the Rowan Kid Classic in her new Blue Hydrangea shade, a beautiful, bright shade that complements the rest of the available shades. Kid Classic is one of our favourite autumnal yarns, the blend of lambswool and kid mohair make it a warm, yet lightweight, finished garment.
We also love the new Moordale collection, packed with colour and design that you can just tell is inspired by Dee's dedication to light and painting, as well as creating in many different mediums. Rowan Moordale yarn is a blend of British Bluefaced Leister wool and alpaca that's soft, with a very delicate shine and halo.
